Amongst the many flagship devices released in this first half of the year, one often overlooked device was Xiaomi’s Mi 10 series. The company’s leading Snapdragon 865 phones were released quite early on but were largely overshadowed by other competitor devices, with the phone not having official US carrier support or releases also playing a big role. In Europe and other markets, however, Xiaomi is an increasingly important player and is quickly filling in the gap that’s being left by Huawei. The phone is now rumoured to be launched in India.
The 10 series Pro smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 865 processor with 5G support with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and a stunning 6.67 inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone measures 162mm in height, has a width of 75mm, being only 9mm thick and weighs 208 grams. The phone has a 4500mAh battery with 50W fast charging and 30W wireless charging.
The main camera is 108MP and supports 8K video recording. It also has a 12MP telephoto camera, an 8MP extra telephoto as well as a 20MP ultra-wide setup. This camera set up is certainly powerful to say the least and offers a very impressive performance. The phone offers 256GB of storage with 5G support. This sets a base minimum of what to expect from the Mi 10T Pro.
The Mi 10T Pro is expected to come with slightly enhanced features with a 144Hz high refresh rate display, 108MP rear triple camera and 5,000mAh battery. The phone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and likely runs on MIUI 12 out-of-the-box. The alleged picture of the Mi 10T Pro reveals that the phone has a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, rectangular camera module with three lenses accompanied by an LED flash. Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro could soon launch in India, as tipped by noted tipster Ishan Agarwal.
The phone might launch in India since Xiaomi is now the number of smartphone retailer in the country. The smartphone is premium so this is most likely going to be a case of quality over quantity. A picture of the alleged Mi 10T Pro was also posted online and it gave us a glimpse of the camera module on the phone. The power button is slightly recessed as it doubles up as a fingerprint reader.
The Mi 10T Pro and Mi 10T are expected to be launched in the coming few weeks, and we will know more about it as we near the launch date. The festive season would be the perfect time for Xiaomi to launch a premium phone in the country since there are always a ton of offers going around and people who can afford to dive into the premium phone market are always looking for something new during the holidays.
