The 15K segment has been witnessing the most amount of action in the Indian smartphone market for quite some time now. This segment still boasts some great phones that should hold you in good stead at least for a couple of years and won’t make you feel as if you are missing out on anything. Let’s take a look at the best smartphones under 15000 –
1. Realme 6
Realme 6 starts at Rs. 14,999 and is an exceptional deal for the price. You get a 90Hz display and a 30W charger. Both of these features were limited to phones over 30k not long ago. There’s also a 64MP Quad Camera setup and a punch-hole display. The MediaTek Helio G90T is also a brilliant performer and proved its mettle on the Redmi Note 8 Pro last year. You can’t go wrong with the Realme 6. This phone is the top smartphone under 15000.
2. Poco M2 Pro
The Poco M2 Pro is Poco’s newest mid-ranger in the Indian smartphone market. Leaving aside the obvious Redmi Note 9 Pro ‘influence’, the phone itself seems like a pretty sweet deal. You get a classy glass build, a huge 5000 mAh battery, very fast 33W charging, and a powerful Snapdragon 720G chipset. Also, you can rest assured that there would be no ads in the interface unlike other Redmi, Realme & even Samsung phones in this price segment. Yes, the display is only 60Hz, but the phone nails pretty much every other aspect of a mid-ranger.
3. Redmi Note 9 Pro
Redmi Note 9 Pro is a great device with a particular focus on performance and battery life. The phone runs on the new Snapdragon 720G SoC which is built on an 8nm process. Couple that with the 5020 mAh battery and you have a phone that goes on and on. There is also Gorilla Glass 5 both to the front and the back and the phone exudes a premium feel all around. A 48MP Quad Camera setup rounds up the package.
4. Galaxy M21
The Galaxy M21 is a good option from Samsung under 15k. It is one of the few phones to offer a Super AMOLED display under 15000. There is also a huge 6000 mAh battery that should offer 2 days of battery life for most people. The 48MP triple camera also setup performs decently. The Exynos 9611 is markedly weaker than the G90T or the 720G so gamers should probably look elsewhere.
5. Redmi Note 9
The Redmi Note 9 carries forward the legacy of the legendary Redmi Note series. You get a very capable MediaTek Helio G85 processor, a 48MP quad-camera setup, a big screen with a punch-hole display. There’s also a big 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging. The plastic build is a bit of a downgrade from Redmi Note 8’s glass back but other than that, the Redmi Note 9 is a brilliant option starting at Rs. 11,999
6. Vivo Z1 Pro
The Vivo Z1 Pro offers a good overall package with a punch hole display, a triple camera setup and a 32MP selfie camera. The performance duties are handled by the Snapdragon 712 which has proven to be a capable performer. There is also a 5000 mAh battery with fast charging.
7. Honor 9X
Honor 9X is the only phone under 15000 that offers a pop-up selfie camera. For people who hate notches or cut-outs of any kind, this is definitely a great option. There’s a 48MP triple camera on the back. 128 GB storage for the base variant is also praiseworthy here. The Kirin 710 processor while not the fastest in the segment, should provide for decent day to day performance.
